Why this matters to me
I understand this deeply because, like you, I value community connection and the local experience. When I moved to Samford, I felt that unique energy, a sense of belonging. But as I explored, I also noticed how scattered information was. I realised just how many other residents were hungry to engage with and support local small businesses, yet they simply didn’t know where to find them without a physical shop front on Main.
This is what drove me to create the My Little Local App. I’ve spent countless hours speaking to business owners, understanding their challenges with visibility and connection. I’ve seen the joy in people’s faces when they discover a local gem they never knew existed. I’ve felt the excitement of a well-attended local event that truly brought the community together. I knew I had to find a way to bridge this gap and amplify what’s available in our beautiful town.
